Liezel’s Thoughts:
I am pretty certain that this audiobook is the longest one I’ve listened to but even so I felt like the 21 hours of audio time wasn’t enough. Not only was I enraptured by this Cat Porter’s story but I was completely hypnotized by Aiden Snow. I loved the passion and the intensity of his voice and paired with Noelle Bridges this audio was addicting.
Intense. This is the one word I would choose if asked me to describe this book in one word. Other words that come to mind are dark, depraved, and violent. I would expect you to say the same once you hear in detail how a man is tortured. This man being Kid aka Finger, Justin. In the hands of a rival MC, there weren’t any limits to what they could do to him. Yet despite the darkness, he found light in the presence of an angel, Serena.
This is their story, a one that preserves through decades. There were so many ups and downs, misleading emotions, series of mistimings, failed relationships in between yet despite all that, their souls persistently gravitated towards one another.
Fate definitely played a trick on them but in the end, they each got what they deserved. If MC romance/ dark romance, that concludes with one epic love stories is something that you are looking for then read this book, better yet, listen to this audiobook. I couldn’t get enough!
