Feeling the rush comes with a price...

Mackenzie Cox has lost everything—except Hayden Hayes. With Kenzie's racing career over, and her family no longer speaking to her, Hayden has been her rock, as she tries to pick up the pieces of what was once her life.

But when Hayden's racing team hires his beautiful ex-girlfriend, Felicia, to be their new hotshot rider, Kenzie and Hayden's seemingly solid relationship begins to crack. Kenzie can only watch from the sidelines, as Felicia lives the life she was forced to leave behind, and as tension begins to build between Hayden and Kenzie, she wonders if Hayden isn’t the man she once knew.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I mentioned in my Furious Rush Review how unsatisfied I felt about the conclusion. At the time, there wasn’t any news about a follow-up to Hayden and Kenzie’s story and how I wished we knew more about the after effects of Kenzie’s crucial decision.   So I felt so much relief as soon as I heard about this second book. Question is, were all of the unanswered questions addressed in the second book?

Absolutely!

Hayden and Kenzie’s ended up having a wonderful relationship at the end of Furious Rush. I expected the love and happiness would continue on in this book. What I didn’t expect however are the numerous complications that just kept coming their way. There were so many influences trying to keep them apart –  the most critical being Hayden’s ex reappearing and wanting back in his life.

I felt anxious not knowing how the author was going to spin this and there were times that I felt (uncomfortable) boundaries were about to be crossed but in the end, everything… and I really do mean EVERYTHING fell into its rightful place. That’s what really matters!

After all that they’ve been through – individually and as a couple I appreciated how they both came to rise to the top. S.C. Stephens definitely did this couple right. Dangerous Rush is well worth the time. Don’t even hesitate…. go one-click now!

BOOK 1 – FURIOUS RUSH

Mackenzie Cox has a lot to prove. Daughter of a racing legend, she is eager to show the world that she has inherited her father’s talent in the male-dominated sport of professional motorcycle racing. The last thing Kenzie needs is to be antagonized by her rival team’s newest rider, Hayden Hayes. Plucked from the world of illegal street racing, Hayden immediately gets under Kenzie’s skin. His insinuations that Kenzie is a spoiled princess who was handed her career fuels her desire to win, and much to her surprise, Kenzie soon learns she performs better when she’s racing against Hayden.

As Kenzie and Hayden push each other on the track, the electric energy between them off the track shifts into and intense—and strictly forbidden—attraction. The only rule between their two ultra-competitive teams is zero contact. Kenzie always does her best to play by the rules, but when her team slips into a financial crisis, she has no choice but to turn to Hayden for help. The tension simmers during their secret, late-night rendezvous, but Kenzie has too much to lose to give in to her desires. Especially when she begins to doubt that Hayden has completely left his street life behind…

About S.C. Stephens

S.C. Stephens is an independent author who enjoys spending every free moment she has creating stories that are packed with emotion and heavy on romance.

Her first attempt at a full-length novel was Thoughtless. She wrote the angst-filled love triangle in early 2009 and published it that summer on FictionPress. Amazed and surprised by the response, more stories were quick to follow.

Conversion, the first novel in a three story vampire series, was released in the fall. Collision Course, a tragic, yet hopeful tale of love and loss was released in early 2010. The second Conversion novel came out next, along with It’s All Relative, a different take on a one night stand story.

In addition to writing, Stephens enjoys reading other people’s fabulous novels, loading up her iPod with writer’s block reducing music, heading out to the movie theaters, and spending quality time with her children.
