Q&A By Angie & Liezel
Do you think you could survive if there was no electricity, easy supplies of food, electronics, etc?
Angie: That’s one thing about being raised in WV and in the mountains that I’m grateful for. If there was a terrorist attack on our power grid I know I would be able to survive. I know how to hunt, fish, build a shelter, forage from the land if need be. The only thing I would be worried about is the other idiots who would try to take that away from me.
Liezel: I wouldn’t survive but I know where to go if something like this were to occur. West Virginia! Will you take me in Angie?
What did you think about Harley and Taylor’s relationship?
Angie: At first I didn’t know what was going on but as the book went on and we found out why their relationship was so strained it all made sense. I loved how Harley wouldn’t let Taylor be. How he got into her nerves and done other things so she was constantly thinking about him. That boy had game. I loved how Taylor finally let her guard down and gave in to happiness. Once both of them started accepting each other and getting to in each other more intimately, their relationship became unbreakable.
Liezel: Taylor was so isolated and secluded and wondered if Harley was ever going to get past the facade. I was really glad he had the patience to get through to her. And although I wouldn’t wish a situation such as this on anyone, it definitely was exactly the push that they needed. I loved them together. Taylor has been so independent and guarded for so long she deserved to be taken care of and Harley was the perfect man. He was caring, loving, gentle, devoted – everything a woman could possibly want.
Was there anything that you didn’t like in Surviving Harley?
Angie: I really wished this book was a full blown novel instead of a novella. I feel like there was so much more to Harley and Taylor’s story to tell that I feel a little bit incomplete. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved SH but I just wish there was more.
Liezel: I agree with Angie. I loved these two together that I wanted more! It doesn’t matter if Krisiti writes a full length novel or a novella, I’d read it just the same. This goes to show just how addictive K. Webster characters and her stories are!
Would you recommend Surviving Harley?
Angie: No doubts about it…YES!!! This may have been short and sweet but it had all the feels that K. Webster is known for. I enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed all her other books and any fans of Kristi’s needs to read this. Even if you’re not a fan pick it up, read it, you won’t be disappointed. This short novella is definitely not short on the heat!
Liezel: Surviving Harley is a very quick read that could be appreciated by those who are pressed for time to read a full novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Harley and Taylor’s love story and will definitely be looking forward to reading Bentley and Caroline’s story too.
