Follow Jasper Storm and Charlotte Lane as their epic love story continues to heat up the pages in this childhood friends to lovers romance that began in Set the Pace.

Charlotte Lane was the tomboy who lived next door.
Eyes the color of the summer sky.
Mounds of curly blond hair.
A little bit of sassy and a whole lot of sweet.
She was my best friend. My confidant. My salvation.

But when circumstances tore us apart, it put more than just miles between us. I hated her. Blamed her for my worst nightmare. And I never wanted to see her again.

Then one wrong turn brought her back into my life and now she’s under my skin. In the midst of all the chaos surrounding us, she’s what’s changing me. Practically bringing me to my knees. Driving me to want to be a better man.

But nothing is ever easy.

And as our worlds begin to crumble…so do we.

Our bond withstood the test of time, but when the future brings the unexpected, it will either draw us closer or tear us apart.

Can we weather the storm?

Liezel’s Thoughts:

This is one of the many cliffhangers I planned to revisit last year but never got to. As soon as I saw it was on audio and it was narrated by Sebastian York I couldn’t pass the chance to download and see what happened with Jasper and Charlotte.

Needless to say, don’t attempt to read this book unless you’ve read Book 1: Set The Pace. It was a fast and easy read and in my opinion, well worth the time especially now that this book is out and answers all the lingering questions you may have.

While Set The Pace was more about these two reuniting, Turn It Up focuses on Jasper and Charlotte building a strong relationship. The story starts off rough for them but despite this, it showed us that no matter what came their way they could handle things as long as they stuck together.

The sexy scenes were plentiful in this book. I can’t tell you how many times I …

1) Peered through my car window to make sure no one was witnessing my reaction as I listened to these two getting it on.

2) Wondered how the hell did Sebastian York and CJ Bloom not burst up into flames while reading this book out loud.

Seriously, Jasper and Charlotte are HOT! HOT! HOT! I loved that their relationship wasn’t based on the physicality, rather it was based on a soul-deep connection. Chemistry and passion were never a question with these two.

What I also enjoyed were the supporting characters. I haven’t heard anything about this but I sure do hope Kim Karr decides to explore Will, Jake and Drew’s story in the future. Will’s stories specifically had potential.

Overall, I thought this was a great conclusion for this Duet. The suspense and mystery certainly added that perfect amount of zest to keep things interesting.

The Verdict:

About Kim Karr

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I’ve always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don’t need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There’s nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore–it’s time I love and cherish.

I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart
