Antonio Giovanni, a fifth-generation winemaker in the rolling hills of Tuscany, is the epitome of temptation. Tall, dark, and handsome with an accent sexy enough to leave a trail of women’s panties in his wake. The man wears charisma like a fine silk suit…flawless and molded to perfection in all the right places, leaving just enough mystery to make you wonder what lies beneath the faultless exterior.

Hope Tidwell, a world-renowned sommelier, is a strong independent woman who fights to have control over every aspect of her life. She makes her own money, her own decisions, her own happiness, and her own mistakes. Her existence doesn’t need to be validated by a man; she refuses to ask for anything except an orgasm, and even those she can manage on her own.

Relationships for most people are as natural as breathing. However, Hope and Antonio are two players who master the art of seduction and the fear of emotional intimacy. When tragedy strikes close to her heart, Hope is fated to do the one thing that terrifies her most.

Destiny reveals the biggest gifts often require the greatest sacrifices.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

It isn’t a secret that The Mathew’s Family Series is one of my go-to reads when I’m in a book funk. This is one reason why I wanted to read this book so badly. I needed to catch a glimpse into Tess and Tom’s life and although their snippet was minute, I wasn’t disappointed at all. As expected, I fell just as hard for the couple featured in this book – Antonio and Hope.

I did, however, have my doubts about Antonio at first. He didn’t make much of an impression in The Perfect Sunday especially with the way he interacted with his brother Vincent. My opinion changed completely in this book. He isn’t the callous, indifferent and insensitive man that I thought he was. In fact, he was the complete opposite.

Hope was going through such a rough time. In the blink of an eye, her life changed exponentially and rather than turning his back on her, Antonio accepted everything about her and helped her carry this massive burden that she basically inherited. This guy in every sense was magnificent. Their pairing too was perfect. They complimented each other is the best way imaginable.

What I love most about Beverly Preston’s books is that not only does she write phenomenal romances that are full of passion and love but she always has this remarkable way of manipulating stories that involve such unpleasant circumstances and turning them into an uplifting and enlightening situations.

She hit it right on the nail with this quote…Be unafraid of what your future holds. As individuals, we are a significant part of a great plan and must realize that Everything Happens for a Reason…

The only reason why I rated this a 4 was because there was one crucial component that wasn’t addressed in the end. I’m not entirely sure if this was done on purpose? But I sure do hope this means that we will see more of these characters in Beverly Preston’s future books.
