Benny had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick.
Just like him, his dolly needed darkness as a fix, fix, fix.
So they tormented and hunted and played tricks, tricks, tricks.
Together their sins a lethal mix, mix, mix.Until Benny missed his dolly who was lost, lost, lost.
He needed to find her and love her at any cost, cost, cost.
Not wanting him and his dolly to be alone, lone, lone.
He made plans to bring his dirty dolly, home, home, home.Have you ever touched another’s soul with the essence of your own, breathed them in so they become apart of you?
I have.
Finally starting to live, feel and fall in love, amongst all the chaos surrounding me.
Dropping my guard and letting another into my heart.
I left my soul open.
I left my heart open.
I left the door open.
And he stole me.
Dillon…I’m sorry.
Q&A Review by Angie & Liezel
What did you love about the Pretty Stolen Dolls duet?
Angie: I love that at times it made me come out of my comfort zone. I love that even though some of the characters were truly effed up you were still intrigued by them, how your heart actually ached for them and couldn’t get enough. I love Dillon, Jade, Mom, Jasmine and Marcus. I know there are much more but those stand out to me. I’m really going to miss these characters.
Liezel: I loved the complexity of the characters. Benny’s depravity, in particular, was intriguing. Not much of his reasoning was explained in the first book BUT it sure was in the second… And then there is Macy. Seeing how much he influenced her over the years was insane – literally.
What was your favorite quote from Pretty Lost Dolls? Why?
Angie:
Our eyes lock together once again, and with each passing second, I feel our bond strengthening. Benny abused my body. He tried to scar my soul. But my heart was never his to fuck with. Dillon owns it now.
This quote to me comes full circle and is bittersweet in a way. She was alone in PSD at first but in this book she has Dillon. A reason to live. To survive. To heal.
Liezel: I agree with Angie! This quote proves her strength and her will. Despite all the horrible things that she experienced under Benny’s control she knew that there was someone worth fighting for.
Without spoiling anything what did you think of how the duet ended?
Angie: I was shocked at the ending. I didn’t expect it and gives me hope. It was a WTF just happened ending and I think a lot of Kristi’s and Ker’s fans will be talking about it for months to come.
Liezel: Ahhh! It definitely was a shocker. It’s been days since I’ve read this book yet I still can not completely process what it means. It certainly is an interesting topic for discussion and this is yet another element that I loved about the book.
Would you recommend the Pretty Stolen Dolls duet?
Angie: Yes I would! I’ve already gifted a few ebooks because I think everyone needs to read them. They are simply that great!
Liezel: If you are into dark romances that contain loads of thrills and suspense then hell yeah! Both Ker Dukey and K. Webster’s are masters of their craft. I would not hesitate to pick up anything written by these two phenomenal authors!
