What did you like about this book?
Angie: Everything! Well except Dinah for a little bit but I ended up liking her a little bit too. Ugh, Erin Watt what are you doing to me???? Twisted Palace was amazing and I don’t think I can say one negative thing about it.
Liezel: I too loved everything about the series. It had the perfect balance of angst, romance, passion and even suspense. Erin Watt will definitely have you surprised until the very end.
What did you dislike about it?
Angie: Steve.. that is all
Liezel: Honestly, I hate that it ended. I’ve become so addicted to the Royals. I don’t know about you but I felt like there was so much more to tell. I hope that this isn’t the last we hear from them.
What are your thoughts about Reed and Sydney?
Angie: That if this was my 17 yr old daughter I would put a chastity belt on her and lock her in the basement until she’s 60. Other than that I love them. They have what it takes to make it last past teenage “love”. Their chemistry is off the charts and I’m glad Sydney made smart choices about certain things.
Liezel: At first, it was difficult to picture these two together considering Sydney’s background. But this was another thing that I loved about the series… How the authors proved me wrong.
Do you see them together 5 years from now?
Angie: Yes I do and here’s why. Sydney is more mature than your typical 17 yr old girl. She’s raised herself for awhile now and sadly that’s made her grow up a lot quicker than others. She’s what Reed needs. With everything that happens to him in this book, it’s an eye opener and I see Reed evolving into a nice, hot young man.
Liezel: I completely agree with everything Angie just said. Not only that… Sydney and Reed’s relationship has been tried and tested in this book. When things got tough, they stuck it out – together. This proves that they definitely have it to last the test of time.
What was your favorite quote?
Angie: Ella Harper is all I’m ever going to see, because she’s my future. She’s my steel and my fire and my salvation. She’s everything.
Liezel: There are a few but I would have to agree with Angie…loved this!
I used to be scared of the future. I didn’t know where I’d end up, didn’t know if the anger and bitterness inside me would ever truly go away, if I could ever feel worthy or find someone who’d be able to see through the asshole I pretend to be to the rest of the world. But I’m not scared anymore, and I did find someone who sees me. Who really, truly sees me. And I see her, too. Ella Harper is all I’m ever going to see, because she’s my future. She’s my steel and my fire and my salvation. She’s everything.
Would you recommend this book?
Angie: Yes with the understanding that you must read Paper Princess and Broken Prince before reading Twisted Palace. These Royals will destroy you and you’ll love every single minute of it!
Liezel: Absolutely! Every single book in the series was phenomenal. I deem this series one of my fav NA series to date. Read it and fall utterly in love with the Royals.
