Sela and Beck’s deliciously sinful tale of sex, lies, and vengeance reaches its explosive conclusion in the final chapter of Sawyer Bennett’s Sugar Bowl trilogy, which began with the novels Sugar Daddy and Sugar Rush.
For years Sela Halstead dreamed of revenge, but the quest for payback has been anything but sweet. Now, once again, she finds herself at the mercy of Jonathon Townsend, his hands crushing the very breath from her body. And even though she escapes with her life, Sela fears she may never recover. In desperate need of shelter and comfort, she runs to the one man she can trust. Beckett North has stood by Sela since the beginning. But can he handle the brutal truth?
Beck will do anything to protect what is his—and make no mistake, Sela belongs to him, heart and soul. The passion between them runs hot, even as their world begins to unravel. With the legacy of his ruthless business partner hanging in the balance, Beck stands to lose everything: his fortune, his family, his freedom. But each touch of Sela’s mouth on his skin, her nails down his back, makes it harder to let her go—and it might not even be his choice to make.
Infiltrate. Murder. Repeat. Things at The Sugar Bowl aren’t so sweet.

Q&A Review by Liezel & Angie
What was it about this series that keeps you coming back for more?
Liezel: The overall complexity. I went in thinking this was just your typical story about a woman seeking revenge (and it is) BUT what I didn’t expect was just how intricate this story would go.
As the series went on it felt like I was burrowing myself further into a rabbit hole. Needless to say, the twist and turns in this series are boundless. Just when I’d recover from one shocking element, Sawyer Bennett drops another and another. I could barely catch my breath and I absolutely LOVED IT!
Angie: What wasn’t there about this series that didn’t leave me coming back? There was love, suspense, revenge, hot as hell sex, and murder. I mean, hello? This is also where I add on what Liezel said above ⬆️
Did Sugar Free end as you had expected?
Liezel: Most of the books I’ve read tend to leave me unsatisfied… Wishing that it was longer maybe or at least have an Epilogue that describes a relationship a few years down the road… I didn’t feel this way with Sugar Free.
Sawyer Bennett didn’t leave me hanging. She dotted all the “i”’s and crossed all the “t”’s. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending for this couple.
Angie: Yes! I was completely 100% satisfied with how Sugar Rush ended. Like Liezel said some leave unanswered questions but Sawyer didn’t. She’s the female Dennis in the real world. She made sure to take care of our fans and get the job done. The job was to leave us content and happy. Sawyer tied everything up in a pretty pink bow or did she? O.o
There were a few remarkable characters in this story. Which of them made the most lasting impression?
Liezel: This is so true! Even the supporting characters were remarkable. Honestly, I’m hoping we hear more about them (esp. Dennis). SPIN-OFF pretty please?
The one person that made that lasting impression was BECK. Let’s just say he has been added to my short list of favorite book boyfriends. I thought they guy was despicable in the first part of Sugar Rush but he turned out to be the complete opposite. The presumed bad boy is not so bad after all. He is that character that will have you hooked!
Angie: I agree with Liezel! I need Dennis’s story like yesterday! Please!!!
I loved Beck but I’m going with Sela. Only because she annoyed the hell out of me in the first book then she was the avenging angel in the second book and back to annoying me and eventually making me love her in the third. My relationship is much like my relationship with my sister. They annoy you but leave those lasting impressions that you will never forget. But other than that she owned what happened to her. She could’ve let it stew and make her resentful even after Beck came into her life but she didn’t. Even when everything happened throughout the books she stayed strong and owned up to what she was done. She didn’t gloat. She was humble for having Beck in her life and didn’t accept his lavish gifts willingly. I love this about her.
What was your favorite quote in the book?
Liezel:
“What you and I have, Sela… no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it’s real and it’s ours, and I’m never letting it go.”
I loved this quote because not only does it show just how committed Beck is in their new relationship but he declares that he will do just about anything to keep them together.
Angie: That’s mine too and for the same reason.
We know that Sugar Daddy and Sugar Rush ends in a cliffhanger, does this affect the overall enjoyability of the story?
Liezel: Normally cliffhangers are a big NO-No for me, but with the way Sawyer Bennett ended Sugar Baby and Sugar Rush added onto the anticipation and excitement. Her delivery was magnificent and this is why I was not disappointed as expected.
Angie: I won’t lie I didn’t know that Sugar Daddy was a cliff so it affected me but going into Sugar Rush knowing it was, I was completely fine. I’m ok with cliffs. I mean it’s like a day old bandaid, once you rip that sucker off you feel fine. The way Sawyer wrote both of these books endings left you sitting there with your freaking mouth dropped to the floor. To me, that made me more excited to read the next ones. I aggravated the crap out of my co-blogger constantly wanting her to check when Sugar Rush was available for request. Thankfully I didn’t have to do that with Sugar Free since I was already pre-approved but don’t get me wrong I would’ve stayed on her ass until I got it. Lol
Who would you recommend this book to?
Liezel: I recommend it for those who appreciate a very well-written, nail-biting, fast-paced story. I’ve read multiple series by this author and I can say that this series is by far my favorite.
Angie: I would recommend it to anyone who wants revenge for something that was taken away from them but they didn’t get that. To anyone who wants a heart-pounding, anxiety-inducing, hot as hell read. These books are a must read for anyone who just wants an amazing book full of twists and turns that leave you hanging.
