They’d won the battle and I held up the white flag of defeat…
But the war wasn’t OVER.I suffered the aching loss of what they had stolen from me.
OVER and OVER again, my heart broke.
The white Queen and the black King had taken OVER the game
and ruled for what seemed like eternity.Until one day, eternity was finally OVER.
I was the dark knight who would rise again and conquer.
I was the man who would win OVER the most important piece on the board.A slayer. A protector. A father.
A new king with the blackest of hearts. And head OVER heels in love with…
The little princess who owned my twisted soul.Sometimes the villains don’t just want their happy ending…
They demand it.This isn’t OVER, baby.
This will never be OVER.
? This Isn’t Over, Baby by K Webster is LIVE! ?
Read Liezel’s Review Below….
Liezel’s Thoughts:
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book! You can’t blame me considering the astonishing conclusion in This Is Love, Baby. As soon as I cracked open this book and read the first few words…
This IS a love story.
This IS a dark story.
This IS a story about the villain.
Villains need love too…..
…K. Webster had me. She yet again had my undivided attention. I couldn’t put this book down even if I tried (and I assure you I did).
I always wondered what influenced Gabe to become such a vile human being. This story delves into all of that. My mind could barely process Gabe’s upbringing. Somehow, someway K. Webster had me sympathizing for this guy that I came to hate. I can’t even remember when I felt so much turmoil over a villain before.
K. Webster mentioned ”Villains need love too…” and reading Gabe’s story I completely agreed with her but then I thought – he couldn’t be paired with a random person. He would need someone who not only understood but accept his degree of depravity.
Does he find such a woman? Absolutely! I couldn’t ask for a better person for Gabe. I do have to say, however, that getting to that point was very uncomfortable for me…to the point where I would need help getting through it…
YES! Parts of Gabe’s story was extremely difficult to accept but once I got past this monumental obstacle, everything…and I mean EVERY SINGLE THING was perfection.
This couple possessed so much darkness within I would have never expect them to have any emotions but their sincere and heartfelt words demonstrated that they too are passionate even if it is only directed at each other.
“A life without you is no life at all. I can assure you, I will die before you..because I can’t mentally fathom something happening to you or being here without you. My mind would crush in on itself. If you needed to breathe, I’d give you my last breath. All for you….”
I mentioned in our last Q&A review how impressed I was with how K. Webster set the stage for this book. The question is…Did “This Isn’t Over, Baby” surpass my expectations? Hell yeah! K. Webster hit it a million miles out of the ballpark with this installment. I couldn’t ask for a better story for this (un)lovable villain.
I end my review by saying this… This Isn’t Over, Baby as well as the other books in the series is without a doubt a 5/5. If you are into dark romance – read the War & Peace Series in ALL of its entirety. I assure you will be just as fascinated with all the intricacies as much as I am.
