n high school they were the perfect couple—until the day Georgia left Leo in the cold...
Hockey player Leo Trevi has spent the last six years trying to do two things: get over the girl who broke his heart, and succeed in the NHL. But on the first day he’s called up to the newly franchised Brooklyn Bruisers, Leo gets checked on both sides, first by the team’s coach—who has a long simmering grudge, and then by the Bruisers’ sexy, icy publicist—his former girlfriend Georgia Worthington.
Saying goodbye to Leo was one of the hardest things Georgia ever had to do—and saying hello again isn’t much easier. Georgia is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional, but when a press conference microphone catches Leo declaring his feelings for her, things get really personal, really fast....
Liezel’s Thoughts:
Georgia Worthington was living her professional dream. At twenty-four she was a successful publicist for an NHL team the Brooklyn Bruisers. She was in a good place. Life couldn’t possibly get any better, or so she thought…
In a male dominant world, Georgia needed to maintain this facade of being calm, cool and collected. All that is shattered however once she finds herself face to face, welcoming her ex into the team. Leo Trevi WAS her everything and seeing him again after six long years apart completely unsettles her. What made things interesting was Leo was just as affected as she was.
This is what had me so enraptured … I needed to know what happened to them. Why after all these years had they could never move on from each other? And if given another chance they could recreate something just as amazing considering their current situation? I’m not going to spoil it for you but what I can tell you is that Sarina Bowen delivers yet another fantastic romance.
If you asked me what I loved most about “Rookie Move”, I would say it is the characters. It never fails that when I’m reading by Sarina Bowen I am immediately able to connect. It isn’t just the main characters either but also the supporting characters as well.
Sarina certainly set the stage for yet another amazing series. I absolutely can not wait to read O’Doul’s story. I would definitely recommend this book for those who especially enjoy a well-written contemporary, sports, second chance romance.
