Camila was seventeen when Van Quiso kidnapped her. Ten years after her escape, the shackles refuse to release her. Not while there are still slave traders preying on her city.
She will stop at nothing to end them.
Even if that means becoming a slave again.Returning to chains is her worst fear—and only option. They won’t know who she is or what she intends to do. She’s prepared for every complication.
Except him.
The one who decimated her sixteen-year-old heart.Matias is charming, gorgeous, and dangerously seductive. He’s also untrustworthy and enshrouded in secrets. After years of no contact, he finds her—on her knees, wrists bound, in the clutches of her enemy.
Will he sabotage her mission by needlessly saving her?
Or will he keep her in chains and never let her go?
Liezel’s Thoughts:
The third book in the Deliver Series is about Camila. She has such a feminine name but there is barely anything feminine about her since she possesses balls of steel! One would think that after being released from sexual slavery that one would pursue a normal way of life but… Oh no, not Camila. Instead, she goes on these dangerous crusades becoming the protector, a savior …a vigilante.
Her character was the driving force in this book. She was simply amazing. No matter how dark and brutal her missions were, you wanted her to succeed yet at the same time somehow find peace and happiness along the way. The one person that has the potential to provide that for her is the only boy she once loved – Matias.
They’ve been apart for years and when they finally reunite, Camila realizes that Matias is no longer the man she once knew. He is the complete opposite. He is a man that goes against everything that she believed in. Witnessing her struggle through this is completely heartbreaking but at the same time the monumental component that kept me captivated.
I wanted to know how could a couple with such conflicting ideas and principles would be able to work. I’m not going to mention how it does but what I can tell you though is that Pam Godwin is a master story teller. Their story was NOT what I expected (it is SOOOOO much MORE! )and I certainly appreciated how she was able to surprise me throughout the entire time.
Is it possible for this series to get any better? I think not! If you are looking for a raw, intense, heart pounding, and unpredictable romance…I would definitely recommend “Disclaim”. In fact, I would suggest reading the entire series!
Angie’s Thoughts:
This is the 3rd book in the Deliver Series and can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend reading the first 2 so you will know who is who and what’s going on in certain parts of the book.
Disclaim is Camila and Matias story. Oh boy, it sure was a great story. Hot, steamy, sexy, uncomfortable at times, emotional and eye-opening. That’s how I would summarize it.
This is told after Camila escapes slavery. How she works to find herself and find a purpose in life after being degraded for so long. I’m so proud of the woman she turns into. Not only is she brave but she’s strong, persistent and doesn’t depend on a man to get things done. Hello, thighs!
I won’t lie, I hated Matias at first. Downright hated him. To me he was scum. A lowlife. Another alpha male who thought of a woman as her property but as I continued to read Pam made me love him. Ugh.. I couldn’t help myself. My mind was saying to hate him but my heart said poor Matias, see he’s not so bad.
Disclaim wasn’t what I thought it was going to be about. There were parts that shocked the hell out of me and some that made me sick to my stomach and just cry. It’s a beautiful raw emotional roller coaster that had me holding on until the very last page.
Pam keeps surprising me with each book she writes. She’s an amazingly talented author that everyone needs read. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
