After a lifetime of longing for a real family, Sarah Smith thought she’d finally found her home with rock star Abe Bellamy, even if she knew Abe didn’t love her the way she loved him. But their brief relationship, filled with tragedy and heartache, nearly destroyed her. Alone, emotions in turmoil, and already shaky self-esteem shattered, Sarah struggles to pick up the pieces in the wake of their divorce.
Abe knows he’s to blame for the end of his marriage. Caught in a web of painful memories, he pushed away the best thing in his life – the sexy, smart woman he adores – breaking them both in the process. Then fate throws him a second chance to get things right, to prove to Sarah that she means everything to him. Abe desperately wants that second chance at love...even if he knows he doesn’t deserve it.
But can he convince Sarah – now strong and independent without him – to risk her wounded heart one more time?
Liezel’s Thoughts:
They say people deal with grief differently. Some deal with it in a positive manner, some negatively. Then there are those that become utterly destructive such as rocker Abe Bellamy. Instead of finding solace in his wife he pushes her away. What Abe does is unforgiving and I honestly had my doubts if he would ever be redeemable…
What I loved about the entire situation was how Sarah flourished even after experiencing all that pain and heartache. She proved that she didn’t need a man or anyone to become “more”. I admired her for her strength and her constraint. She certainly put Abe through his paces and I have to say that courtship was beautiful to witness.
Of all the couples in the series, Sarah and Abe are by far my favorite. Why might you ask? Besides their amazing chemistry and passion, they felt so much more real. Even if they were a high-profile couple they had issues any ordinary couple would have. I was able to connect with them in a deeper and emotional level, especially with Sarah.
Reading about the other couples in the previous books was definitely the icing on the cake! The way they came together to support each other through the thick and thin was extremely heartwarming. It was great witnessing how each and one of them making that final commitment. This title is seriously all too fitting.
Rock Wedding is a fantastic second chance romance. It delved into loss, forgiveness, acceptance and finding that everlasting love all over again. Nalini Singh certainly did a fantastic job ending this rock romance series.
