Untimely You is heartbreaking yet touching. It hits you in all the right spots at the right times and you can’t think straight until the very last page. I wanted to savor every last word like it was my last breath.
This is told in 2 POVS, Adrian and Neesy. Adrian is the broody, leave me the hell alone type man. He exudes power, anger, and sadness. There’s so much to this man that intrigued me from the first time Neesy had her “real” first encounter with him. I needed to know his story but I also needed more of Neesy.
Neesy is me. I just love her! She’s clumsy, crazy, eccentric, talks a mile a minute, smart, ambitious, funny, and reads a lot. Reading is, in fact, is how she ended up meeting the dark, mysterious Mr. Hocksted. The chemistry between them is undeniable from the first time they touch but for unforeseen reasons is forbidden. Well, Neesy doesn’t know this. So you know what she does? Assumes she accepted a job being his personal sex slave and shows up at his house dressed like a sex goddess!
I can’t say more as I don’t want to ruin the story for you. I love the hysterical banter between Adrian and Neesy. Even though Untimely You was heavy at times and had me bawling. It also had me laughing my ass off so hard that I couldn’t breathe. Try laughing quietly at night when everyone is sleeping, yea so not happening! Make time to read this book in one setting! Once I started it I couldn’t put it down, it was just that amazing!
I keep saying this but with each book Kristi writes she keeps surprising you. You would think with how many books she releases in a month or even a year that her books surely can’t be that good. Well, let me tell you, Kristi’s romance books are just as great as Nora Roberts or even better to me. So if you are holding out just take the plunge. You won’t be disappointed!
