Let the games begin...
Runaway Zelda Wilder will do whatever it takes to secure a better life for her and her sister Ava. Crown Prince Rowan Westringham Tate will do whatever it takes to preserve his small country.
When Zee is blackmailed into helping a vengeful statesman take down Rowan, she never expects she'll be pulled into a web of lies and international intrigue--much less that she'll find herself falling for Cal, Rowan's "playboy" younger brother.
Ava's no help, as she finds quiet walks in the moonlight discussing poetry and leadership with the brooding future king irresistible. Even more irresistible is kissing his luscious lips.
They're in over their heads, and the more time passes, the more danger the sisters are in. Shots are fired, and it's soon clear even a prince might not be able to rescue these players.
Liezel’s Thoughts:
Geneva Lee has done it and now Tia Louise has too! What did they do? They both wrote over-the-top, hot and sexy stories that involve royalty. This isn’t a troupe that I stumble upon often and I am so glad my co-bloggers brought it to my attention because this book had me completely mesmerized just from the very first chapter.
What I appreciated most about this book is that I not only witnessed one love story unfold right before my eyes, but TWO! Wait what? I know, right? Are you wondering how Tia Louise managed such an amazing feat?
All I know is that I am very much impressed on how she effortlessly wrote a story with that much complexity. I loved how she was able to balance out both couples. You would think that it would be overwhelming but nope each definitely complemented the other.
There are a few unseemly qualities in the heroine that may be difficult to accept at first but once you find out her motives you can’t help but admire her. She comes off as selfish when she is, in fact, the complete opposite. Both sisters have been through so much growing up that you want them both to get their HEA. They deserved an HEA. One gets a perfect one but the other….
Unfortunately, the story ends up in somewhat of a cliffhanger but you know what? I’m not THAT disappointed because I am confident that Tia Louise will deliver a fantastic finale to this compelling romance.
