Lovely Ladies & Naughty Books Event Review/ SIGNED Giveaway**

Micah’s Thoughts:

I had the pleasure of attending the Lovely Ladies and Naughty Books author signing this past weekend, May 21, 2016, in Washington, D.C. It was held at the gorgeous Mayflower Hotel in downtown. The venue itself was breathtaking. I’d never been to the Mayflower before, but it was beautiful. Since I live only 2 hours from D.C., I don’t need to stay over in the city often.

There were three sessions for the event: blogger, morning, and afternoon. I had tickets to all three because I had a ton of books to get signed for a bunch of people. I wanted to make sure that I got to see all of the amazing authors. All of the authors there were so great and I got to either meet or see them again. I got the majority of my books signed in the blogger early morning session because there weren’t many people in that session. There were only 2 or 3 really incredibly long lines and I only had to stand in one of them. Karina Halle, R.K. Lilley, and Mia Sheridan had the longest lines of the day. However, once the organizers started giving out numbers, everything started going pretty smoothly.

I loved meeting all of the authors and seeing some of my favorites again. Alice Clayton was my favorite to meet and get my books signed. I’ve been such a big fan of hers and I’ve wanted to meet her for so long. I would have driven for so long to meet her. She was such a sweetheart and I just loved her! She even put quotes in my indies from her! I also loved chatting up R.K. Lilley about colored hair (mine is blue right now). That was great!

My last event was Sign N Sip, which had a much more laid back feel to it. This was much more intense. However, I had more book friends to meet! Intense isn’t bad, just a different vibe! I loved this one and would attend it again next year! I appreciated the blogger hour so much.

Micah, we’ve been to 2 of the same events recently and haven’t had a chance to meet!
This one was definitely more intense than Sign ‘N Sip, especially the morning session. I only had 3 authors to see inthe afternoon- it was hard trying to figure out which authors to see when!
