Micah’s Thoughts:
Sign N Sip was put on by Southern Bell Book Blog at the Rappahannock Cellars in Huntly, Virginia on August 23, 2016. I had the pleasure of volunteering at this event. This venue was GORGEOUS. In the picture collage, I put some pictures of the surroundings and the actual signing room!
This event was extremely well planned and you could tell by the way it ran. The lines were fairly short, except for a select few authors. Jennifer Armentrout, Kim Holden, Renee Carlino, and Beth Flynn had long lines for the whole day, but it was worth it to get to see them. I got my books signed during the volunteer hour, but I had some time to go in during the regular signing time and nothing seems hectic. In fact, while those lines were long, most of the attendees were outside or roaming drinking wine until their wristband numbers were called. The whole event had an air of laid back. I think the wine really helped. 🙂
My FAVORITE author to interact with was Renee Carlino! I loved her and I recently was blessed with an ARC of her newest book, Swear On This Life, coming this August. Let me tell you, it is amazing. I believe it is her best yet! And I loved meeting her.
Next, I loved meeting Beth Flynn. As a member of the Niners, it was a thrill to meet her and she was amazing! I haven’t read Out of Time yet because I KNOW there is a huge cliffhanger and I won’t do that to myself. However, Nine Minutes was a top read of mine and I am DYING over here waiting for A Gift of Time. If you haven’t picked this up yet, do yourself a favor…or wait with me for the last to come out and binge with me. We can form a support group!
This was the best signing I have gone to so far, by far. It didn’t feel rushed. Everyone that I spoke to had a great time. The wine was great, the wine guys were nice eye candy! Thanks CM Foss and Southern Bell Book Blog for a great event! If it happens in 2017, I will be there!
