New York Times bestselling author Jasinda Wilder presents the second darkly seductive novel starring the mysterious Madame X.

Everything Madame X has ever known is contained within the four walls of the penthouse owned by her lover, her keeper, the man who controls her every move and dominates her desires. While Caleb owns her body, someone else has touched her soul. X’s awakening at the hands of Logan’s raw, honest masculinity has led her down a new path, one that is as exciting as it is terrifying.

But Caleb’s need to own her completely knows no bounds, and he isn’t about to let her go. Not without a fight that could destroy them all…

Liezel’s Thoughts:

“Exposed” continues where “Madame X” left off with X beginning to question her  existence. As all the new information filters in, the resentment for her protector, her savior -Caleb continues to grow. She becomes distant and  finds her solace in Logan.

In my last review, I was hoping to learn more about Caleb but instead, we get to know Logan on a deeper level. What is great about this guy is that he isn’t perfect. He has so much damning qualities yet instead of feeling  reluctant about him, I am pulled to his character. His honesty – not only about his past but with his emotions is just staggering.

“I tell you I love and then you go back to – if you go back, I’ll break. I’ve survived a lot…rebuilt my life more than once. I can’t do it again, not after you. You’re everything to me now. I don’t know how it happened, but I’m fucking gone for you, baby…”

The connection that forms between Logan and X is magnificent yet in the back of my mind I can’t stop thinking about of Caleb too. He has a shitty way of showing it but you could tell by the way he handles her compared to the rest that he too genuinely cares for X.

Caleb, at times (most of the time), can be hateful but honestly, there’s is just something about him that keeps me  teetered to his character and I am looking forward to discovering how  his part of the story unfolds.

If you are a fan of sweltering, suspenseful romances that keeps you guessing then this series is for you. Personally, I am  irrevocably hooked! Just like the first book, “Exposed”  ends with a nail-biting cliffhanger but you know what? It doesn’t even matter since the storyline, the plot and of course, the writing is absolutely fantastic.

The Verdict:

rating-4
