Liezel’s Thoughts:
The title of this book totally confused me. I couldn’t see how it all fit. This changed however when I got to the very last chapters. I thought it was a bust, but the author sure did an amazing job pulling things together!
So a little more about the story…”Wet” is about two people who are seriously attracted to each other but refuse to act upon it since they both have different expectations in a relationship. Paul who is a recovering sex addict is looking for his forever girl while Elle on the another hand is a divorcee who only wants to play the field. Talk about role reversal, right? That’s one of the reasons why this book held my interest. I wanted to see how far Elle would be willing to take it.
The other reason would be the character development. Every single character was great in their own way, but it was Paul who stole the show in this one. This guy in all sense was definitely a good catch! I liked how he repeatedly went above and beyond the call of duty for Elle and appreciated how committed he was to his convictions especially since Elle did her damnest in getting him to yield.
This did enhance the sexual tension between the couple, but the downside was it caused the pacing to be unusually slow.”Wet” didn’t focus on the romance as much as I would have hoped but it did highlight the importance of building a strong foundation (that of friendship) before taking the relationship to the next level.
Needless to say, I enjoyed this romance even if everything wonderful occurs towards the latter part of the book. The question is, would I recommend “Wet”? Yes. As long as you are okay with a rather slow yet great build-up and have the patience to wait until that monumental turning point towards the very end. I sure did and I don’t regret it.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who didn’t love this book! The title didn’t make too much sense to me, either, unless it had to do with the fact he was always fixing her sprinkler???
Paul was a different and interesting character, but they both seemed really immature to me, and that was a big part of my not loving the book.
I did enjoy the last 40% or so of the book, much more than the first half.
