She’s a client. That’s all.

Or it should be.

But with every lesson, she’s becoming more.

The secrets I’m hiding behind the image of the Gentleman Mentor make telling her the truth—and having anything real—impossible.

I’m training her for another man, and that fact guts me every time I think of it.

I know she’s not mine … but part of me won’t accept that.

Am I willing to risk it all to keep her?

He calls himself the Gentleman Mentor.

Just reading his ad makes me feel more alive than I have in years.

He promises to teach me the art of seduction … and show me the most sinfully erotic pleasures. He’s going to help me become the kind of confident, sexy woman men can’t ignore.

Six lessons … with the most gorgeous man … who happens to be a Dom.

The only problem … now that I’ve experienced his brand of delectable domination will anyone else ever compare?

Liezel’s Thoughts:

This book has been on my TBR list since its release in May. Since the second book in the series was just released today I thought it was appropriate to read it before starting the next installment. Mind you, these books can be read as  standalones yet even so I thought it would be best to start from the very beginning considering how the h/h are related to the couple in “Sinfully Mine.”

So about the story itself…Demure Brielle has had feeling for her good friend Kirby for years. Not entirely comfortable with initiating the first move she decides to hire a mentor to teach her the art of seduction. As expected her mentor is one attractive, confident man who happens to also be a Dom. At first, Brie is hesitant with the entire set-up but as she starts talking with Hale she decides that his services are “exactly” what she needs.

Although Hale has mentored multiple women before even meeting Brie he has never come quite close to  experiencing  the pull that Brie has on him. Honestly if you think about it,  the entire situation seems creepy but as you get deeper into the story you see just how much of an effect Hale has on Brie.  We certainly witness her  grow and  blossom under Hale’s tutelage and at the same time see their relationship  unsurprisingly develop beyond the physical.

This is one thing that I definitely need to comment on… Hale was truly  an expert in his craft!  He knew exactly how fast and  how hard to push Brie  in the bedroom. What I’m basically trying to say is that the sex scenes were smoldering hot BUT unfortunately that in my opinion wasn’t enough to convince me that their relationship could stand the test of time. I was really hoping for them to have  more in common or at least more evidence that they had a deeper connection but in my opinion  they were lacking in that department.

Although I was disappointed in that regard this did not deter me from enjoying this book overall. It still found it quite entertaining. Brie and Hale’s story was certainly a  great kick-start for this new series and  I am looking forward to seeing more of them and how the interactions with the next featured couple.

The Verdict:

rating-3
