One night of pleasure turns into a summer full of lust.
Fletcher Haney owns several businesses all over New York City, gaining him access to tons of beautiful women. He has no intentions of stopping his womanizing ways, until he sees her again.
She’s the ultimate heartbreaker he can't forget.
Pastry chef bombshell, Bayler Jennings knows she can have any guy she wants, but when her only memorable one-night stand confronts her, she breaks all of her rules.
He’s the love ‘em and leave ‘em flavor she craves.
But as the seasons change, this two-of-a-kind pair fights falling in love in the city, and they’ll soon realize that with pleasure always comes pain.
Liezel’s Thoughts:
Talk about starting the new years off with a BANG! Bayler Jennings then known as “Jane Doe” to Fletcher was just that- a quick bang yet months after their supposed one night stand Fletcher could not get her out of his mind. He is jarred by the woman he spent a blissful night with up to be a point where he begins scouring his nightclubs in hopes of finding her again but much to his disappointment she is nowhere to be found.
Five months pass and BOOM! She reappears where he least expected her to be – at Carter and Elly’s wedding no less. The amazing woman that he became obsessed with just so happened to be related to his closest friends. Them reconnecting shouldn’t have mattered though because both have always been adverse to commitment. Their intense attraction and their constant unexpected run-ins, however, make them both think twice about relationships.
“I want to take my slow, sweet time pleasuring you until you can’t handle it anymore, until you’re begging me to stop.”
Good grief! I loved Fletcher and Bayler. I almost love them just as much as I loved the previous couples. They were so good together. In all ways, they were perfect for each other. Their chemistry was beyond magnificent. The only thing about it was that I needed so much more about them. Just them.
In some ways, I liked how the previous characters were in the story but to me they seemed too involved. Besides that, the other side stories also took away the spotlight from this wonderful couple. I understand that it somewhat provided the overall story with depth but to me, this is a case where “too much of a good thing…”
While I did appreciate how the couple came together towards the end I expected a much more EPIC resolution to their issues. I was a little disappointed especially how the state that Bayler was in when she finally expresses her feelings for Fletcher. I expected so much more specifically from her.
There were some things that I enjoyed about this book and there are some that I found frustrating about it too. I did love how after all of my issues that the story ended on a very high note. Therefore, I will have to rate this….
