William Darkling is a successful, sexy older bachelor with the world at his feet but he’s missing the one thing he needs more than anything.

Haley has just turned eighteen and is ready to learn about love and shed some of her innocence. After a traumatic birthday party, she wakes up tied to a bed at the mercy of the person she trusts most.

Haley has always been his pet, but now William wants more. He wants to to love her as every Daddy should love their little girl.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I’m going to admit starting this book made me  uncomfortable.  I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I felt awkward where it was to the point that I wanted to put it away. Yet again  my curiosity did get the best of me and   I continued on and was glad that I did.

As mentioned in the book synopsis,  Haley had  just turned eighteen. She is young and innocent and to me it was as if she lived a pretty sheltered life. This was most likely because  she was  raised by an overprotective father (who happens to be a single parent) and his closest friend William whom she also calls “daddy”.

Daddy William has been in Haley’s life since she was a baby and as she progressed into her teenage years he starts developing feelings for her. Rather than acting upon these feelings however, he keeps his desires under wraps and ends up distancing himself.

William isn’t the only one feeling this  attraction. Haley also starts feeling these changes between them. It takes one frightening near miss for William to realize that it was finally their time.

What happens after that I would have to say was… mind-blowing yet somewhat unsettling too. I say unsettling because there was certain terminology and situations that made me  uneasy.

What I did appreciate about this story though was how William went about things. He never wanted to risk the deep rooted friendship that he had with Haley’s father and was willing to make these sacrifices when his feelings became too much. If that wasn’t an indication of true love then I don’t know what else is!

There were also  these intense “OMG” moments  that could have gotten real ugly but William handled all these situations perfectly and I have to say that I admired how the author pulled it off.

While this book in general was a bit uncomfortable  I thought this was what made it standout and keep me captivated.

All in all, I thought it was  good  and I am hoping that the author decides to expand on this fascinating couple’s story.

The Verdict:

I wrote my first book, Owning Her Innocence, because well, I just couldn’t find any daddy books to my liking. So I sat down and just started writing, bringing the fantasies I find myself often dancing to in the dark of night to life, one page at a time.

Alexa Riley is my alter ego. I can’t let the other soccer moms know what I’m up to or the guys at work for that matter. Little do they know that they’ve got nothing on my dirty talk.

I’m here to give you a quick fix of filthy dirty smut. Got a few hours to kill? Then I’m what you’re looking for.
