The Last Good Knight: An Original Sinners novella told in five parts.
Part I: Scars and Stripes
It's lust at first sight when Mistress Nora encounters a sexy newcomer to The 8th Circle. She's happy for the distraction, since she left her lover, Søren, but her session with Lance is cut short when her boss, Kingsley Edge, reveals they're all in danger….
Liezel’s Thoughts:
“Come play with me. Submit to me. You know you want to. I know you want to….”
In my blogging career I’ve only given two books a 5++ rating. One of which was Tiffany Reisz’ last book Original Sinners book titled The Mistress. After reading such an amazing finale, I have been waiting patiently to get my hands on the first book of the The Original Sinners: White Series.
Come to find out there is a set of novellas before The Saint’s release in June. The series of novellas titled The Last Good Knight is told in five parts (links + book synopsis can be found on the below).
The first story Stars and Stripes recounts Lance and Nora’s very first confrontation and how they both end up in Nora’s palatial dungeon not quite sated yet somewhat satisfied. Their first meeting is quite ordinary but what proceeds after that is anything but.
“Come with me…I’m breaking my own rules. I want you to come fucking me….”
What I liked about this book was seeing Nora back in her element as Domme. What was unexpected though was when she fell into that role with Lance- someone who she had just met, she couldn’t help but feel more. Within mere minutes she saw this man as someone who she could potentially collar. What was it about him that made such an impression on Nora that she would even not only conceive this notion but also let him in?
At first I thought maybe she was regretting wanting her freedom from Soren (who has a small part in this novella) but it wasn’t about that at all. Lance’s character was just that impressive that I’m certain no one could blame her for bending the rules and perhaps letting emotions shine through.
We all know that Tiffany Reisz can write some unprecedented BDSM scenes and even if this was just a novella she didn’t skimp on those aspects at all. What they end up experiencing together was spectacular, leaving me with this feeling of wanting so much more…
I absolutely enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading Lance and Nora story in all its entirety.
The Verdict:
