Kara Brookes hates liars.

Dylan Day hasn’t told the truth from the moment his plane touched down in Ibiza.

It’s a recipe for disaster.

Lucien and Sophie are back, and have set up camp on the sun-drenched isle of Ibiza for the opening of the latest of Lucien’s strictly adult clubs.

They’re joined for the summer by Sophie’s best friend Kara, and Dylan Day, Lucien’s newly appointed club manager. The laid back, smokin’ hot surf guy from California seems almost too good to be true… but there’s no smoke without fire. It’s going to be a long hot summer of love, lust, lies and wedding bells. But who will get their happy ever after?

Romantic, emotional and intensely erotic, Knight & Day is the thrilling final installment of the USA Today bestselling Knight Series from Kitty French.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

Knight and Day was a great conclusion to Lucien and Sophie’s Trilogy. For me it portrayed the original characters an entirely new dimension.

Sophie wasn’t just a businesswoman, a mother, or a wife in this one but she was also a great friend to Kate. It also represented Lucien in a different light too. Since he already had multiple successful clubs we already knew that he had an amazing business sense. This story showed us that just as unconventional his relationship was with Sophie he was somewhat the same way with his current venture.

He literally hired a random person ( Dylan Day ) right off the street – no identification, no application and no references. How could he be so trusting? Yes, it made me question his business acumen multiple times over but it he knew exactly what he was doing. Lucien took a huge risk hiring  Dylan and they both came back winners.

Over the course of the book, we see how that relationship evolves and I thought their friendship was in its own way quite beautiful. Dylan Day came to Ibiza  with nothing and Lucien took him under his wing, provided him with the opportunity to gain everything. In a way, he didn’t just end up with a new friend but to me it was deeper than that – it was a brotherhood.

Now about Kate, I honestly did not remember her from the previous book. I had to go back to Knight and Stay and see what role she played. While she was not memorable then, she sure did make an outstanding  impression in this book. She was sexy, sassy and outspoken. Such a perfect match for  Dylan.

One of the unforgettable moments in this book is when they first met.  It was totally priceless! Chapters later and I still continued to giggle at the audacity of that entire scene. About their relationship,  I liked how it all developed. From the very beginning they were very straight forward with what they wanted. It was all about quenching this irresistible lust.

And let me tell you… Dylan was all around talented. As matter of fact, he was over the top skilled! While I expected it to be just that, I loved how the author eventually depicted it into something more.

It didn’t come as easy as I would have wanted.  There were some moments I found myself very much  disappointed in Dylan.  His decisions  tested their relationship relentlessly but in the end it showed us  what they were both  willing to go through to make their relationship work.

I enjoyed the finale to the Knight Trilogy.  I thought the way the author added a different couple into the mix complimented Lucien and Sophie nicely. Each of the couples side of the story  was equally sexy, passionate and romantic. I loved how it wasn’t just about that rather it also portrayed such a deeply entwined friendship amongst all the characters.

The Verdict:

Excerpt:

“Nothing you can tell me will make me run, Dylan.”

He shook his head lightly and kissed her shoulder. “You don’t know that, English.”

She straightened in his lap, took his hands, and placed them over her breasts.

“You’re right. I don’t know that.” Her nipples hardened as he circled them with his thumbs. “But I don’t trust easily Dylan, and everything in me knows that I can trust you. You show me with the way you listen to me.” She ran her hands down his arms, down the hard, lithe muscles from his shoulders to his elbows, grasping them to move herself even closer over the heat of his crotch.

“You show me with the way you touch me,” she breathed, closing her eyes for a second as he measured the weight of her breasts in his hands, his eyes on her curves. She moaned a little when he dipped his head to close his mouth over one nipple and then the other, almost reverential.

“And you show me with the way you fuck me,” she said, a catch in her breath when he moved his hand

down between their bodies.

“I trust you, Dylan Day. Her mouth was just a breath from his. “Simple as.”

Kara tilted her mouth over his and kissed him. Brandy, sugar, and Dylan Day, just about the most erotic flavour she’d ever tasted. The heat inside his mouth made her moan, his tongue slow and searching.

His kiss gave him an unfair advantage. If her hugs could stop wars, then Dylan’s kiss was his secret

weapon. His fingers stroked between her legs as he deepened their kiss, as natural as breathing and bonedeep sexy.

“Touching you makes me forget the bad stuff,” he murmured, sliding two fingers inside her to the

knuckle. Kara gasped, opening her eyes wide, breathless.

“So touch me some more.”
