Billionaire playboy Archer Bancroft did not have the time nor the interest in committing to any relationship. He, however, has been attracted to his best friend Gage’s younger sister for years. Being warned off multiple times by Gage he never really pursued her until one night – an opportunity presented itself.
Ivy has been attracted to Archer for years too. Knowing his philandering ways she rarely gave him a second thought. She had far more respect for herself to be just someone’s one-night stand. At all cost, she was determined to avoid him knowing she just might bend the rules for him and give in to his charm. It took just one moment of weakness and she was lost to him…
Archer thought it was just one night but he just couldn’t get her out of his mind. He needed her in every possible way. He is left confused, never having to experience these feelings before. Against all the odds he is willing to do anything to make her a part of his life.
I enjoying reading about these two characters together. Because of their history, their close ties and also their careers I thought they fit perfectly. The chemistry and passion between the two were amazingly hot. I thought the “cat and mouse” affair provided just the right amount of tension to keep it interesting.
This book was addicting and I really wished that it was longer. I would have loved to read more details about Archer’s family and the relationship he had with his parents most especially his father. I also wanted to know more about Ivy too.
I’ve never read a book by this author and I would have to say I was quite pleased with this one. I thought it was a very fast and easy read. Even if it was shorter than usual books it did not fail to deliver a sizzling sexy romance. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
