I am weak.
I am lonely.
I am a slut.
I am strong.
I am Dominant.
I am independent.
I am Seven James. My entire life, no one has wanted me, and that was fine, because I sure as shit didn't need anyone else. Blah, Blah Blah, insert sad story here about negligent parents, and shitty siblings, and you have my life story in a nut shell. When my college boyfriend dumped me, it was just icing on the cake. Five years, and a booming career later I am here to collect my revenge.
That was until a delicious plaything walked into the kink club I frequent, and rocked my typically un-rockable world. Causing me to break the one rule I have lived by since Daniel Alexander walked out of my life, never have sex with the same person twice. Ever.
Liezel’s Thoughts:
I have to admit that I do not have a lot of experience reviewing books that involving swingers. It’s not that this it isn’t something I thought I wouldn’t enjoy but I just never had the chance to. I think that was one of the reasons why I was drawn to this book – Curiosity.
What I loved most about this book was unexplainable satisfaction knowing that a woman had enough clout to not only take over the boardroom but the activities in the bedroom as well.
“Seven James. I want you. I want all of you. I want you every way you will give yourself to me. I want you.”
Did I like the story in general? Unexpectedly so. I thought those encounters were quite steamy. I liked the chemistry between Seven and Levi. They were magnificent together. I loved the tension during that “What the fuck do we do now?” moment when they first find out that their encounter wasn’t a one time thing after all. I thought the development of their relationship was great too. No issues in that area at all.
What I had issues with was the background story. I wasn’t entirely convinced with the Blue-Star-Seven issues. For some reason whatever happened in Seven’s past wasn’t a good enough reason to harbor so much hate to the point that it affects your entire life.
Now, it could have also been because the story was more focused on the Seven-Levi relationship more than anything else. For all I know that part of the story was just a tip of the iceberg. That being said I would have to say that even with the issues I had I am looking forward to reading the rest of their story.
