What happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one you’ll fight the hardest to keep?

Colton stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.

Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am most definitely the sinner.

How is it the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has us fighting so hard to keep?

He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.

How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she needs, so why can't I just let her go?

We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?

Liezel’s Thoughts:

You’ve never heard of  Driven? Or haven’t read it yet?  Well, then you need to put whatever it is that you are reading down and go ahead and  1-click this one otherwise you would be missing out on one of the greatest reads of the summer.   I thought that  Driven was fantabulous ( my review can be found HERE ) but wait until you get to Fueled… it is  A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

Talk about girl crushes-Colton isn’t the only one that fell for Rylee, I fell for her too. She is absolutely extraordinary.   How does someone pick up the pieces after such a devastating loss without losing it? Rylee does it so graciously and rather letting the despair overcome her she manages to mold all the negative that has happened in her life into something so positive.

She is sexy and savvy, outgoing, strong and independent, and also loving and caring. Despite all the charm and sex appeal that Colton flaunts Rylee never lets her hormones rule her. She has so much self-respect that she knows when to put her foot down even if she might risk it all.

Colton seems to be a very cold-hearted and arrogant man who is mostly driven by his career. Beneath all that he too is damaged. He has the most abhorrent childhood that he never intended to share with anyone. He is convinced that because of his past he is undeserving of LOVE. He thinks he is incapable of showing this part of himself well in fact the small gestures that he does for Rylee and her boys tells us otherwise.

He thinks that their relationship is nothing beyond the physical but if there is any other pair in the universe that deserve each other than it’s these two. Besides the chemistry that they share it ‘s as if Rylee was made perfectly for Colton. He needs her as much as she needs him – emotionally, mentally and physically. His past conforms so well with her present and future and vice verse. It’s like a match made in heaven.

Loved this book in all of its entirety. The tension between the main couple is ridiculously perfect. The heroine is phenomenal and as we get further into the story the hero is too. All the supporting characters are remarkable especially the couple’s best friends (hope something happens there).  The romance is intense, raw and carnal. What can I say…Colton is just  THAT magnificent. The story is faultless and flows smoothly. There is a cliffhanger though which for me is totally justifiable. Just hope we don’t have to wait that long for this spectacular conclusion.

Fueled has everything you could possibly want in a contemporary romance. It was emotional and heartbreaking,  it was thrilling but still has its playful and funny parts too.  What more can you ask for?

The Verdict:

rating-5

About K. Bromberg

K. Bromberg is that reserved woman sitting in the corner that has you all fooled about the wild child inside of her–the one she lets out every time her fingertips touch the computer keyboard. She’s a wife, mom, child rustler, toy pick-er-upper, chauffer, resident web-slinger, LaLaloopsy watching, American Girl doll dressing multi-tasker of all things domestic and otherwise. She likes her diet cokes with rum, her music loud, and her pantry stocked with a cache of chocolate.

K. lives in Southern California with her husband and three children. When she needs a break from the daily chaos of her life, you can most likely find her on the treadmill or with Kindle in hand, devouring the pages of a good, saucy book.

Fueled is K. Bromberg’s second published novel and is the highly anticipated second book of “The Driven Trilogy.” Driven was her well-received debut novel and Book #1 of the series.

I tend to drive a little bit faster than I should most of the time but nothing thats worthy of Nascar lol.

Unfortunately I tend to drive fast… like I think I am in the Indie 500 or something 🙂 But, I am one of those people that as soon as someone starts riding my tail I slow down to 5 under the speed limit just to mess with them… that isn’t going to work out so well for me one day.

Depends a lot on if i’m in a residential area or highway. I tend to drive the speed limit in a residential area, don’t want any accidents to happen. But, when I’m on the highway I tend to drive faster.
