At what point does infatuation turn into obsession? McKenna Thorne doesn't have the answer to that question, but she’s dangerously close to finding out. When it comes to Tag, she learns that her body knows no limits. But neither does her heart.

He’s content with the nontraditional aspect to his relationships and he always has been. Until McKenna unexpectedly walks into his life. Now Tag Murphy has only one goal: to see how fast he can make her pulse race.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

“You own me. Mind body and soul. I’m yours, Tag. Always yours.”

This story continues just right after Temptation where Tag, being Club Destiny’s attorney represents the club against accusations made by Susan Toulmin, another attorney in Dallas. Susan is a woman scorned, upset that she was replaced by Sierra in Luke and Cole’s relationship. Not only that, but they announce that they are now exclusive. Being that Club Destiny is very high-profile the media gets involved. Here enters McKenna Thorne, a successful journalist, entrepreneur slash owner of an online magazine based on their lifestyle. He’s seen her before and she’s captivated his thoughts since. Although Tag is a third in Logan and Sam’s life he just isn’t able to get her out of his mind.

She too is attracted by the hotness of  the sexy lawyer,  Tag Murphy. She baits him innocently through an article she posted on her blog. Tag sees this as a challenge and immediately comes up with a plan that will satisfy her curiosity. She agrees to stay with him for a week and here one thing leads to another. Since McKenna is constantly with Tag she befriends the rest of the inner circle and actually develops a closeness with them. But despite all the pieces falling into place, Tag is resistant. He is just one of those men that does not, under any circumstances do commitment. This just wouldn’t do for McKenna. So she does what every smart woman should do, she leaves.

“You’re the woman that  I want to put first above everyone else, the woman I want to have beside me through times like this when it seems as though nothing is going the way it should. the one I could see myself going bat shit crazy over, and the only woman who has ever had me considering the possibility that there is more…more for me.”

At one point  the Club is put under heavy scrutiny and McKenna decides to use her own resources and attempts to bail them out of trouble. She too is retaliated on and Tag realizes that McKenna is so much more and that maybe, just maybe theirs is a relationship worth fighting for.

“I want you to remember this moment. This is the first, and the very last time I’ll give myself to anyone.”

There is just one thing that I would have changed in this book. I just wished that McKenna was a tad like Mistress Serena. I really want to see one uber Domme. Perhaps in the next couple books? Or even better if Serena had her own story to tell. I also want to hear more about Chance but I’m predicting to see more of him in Book 3 of Alluring Indulgence (Book 3).  One could only hope. And will Sam and Logan ever find a new third or just be content with what they already have. Honestly, I would read anything written by Ms. Edwards!

Out of all the Club Destiny books I’ve read I think that this story is my favorite one. The reason is because we get to see all the couples… Sam-Logan, Cole-Luke-Sierra, Alex and Ash and of course Tag and McKenna in this book. I absolutely love the group  dynamic. I was really anxious about Samantha’s reaction to McKenna but I was worried for nothing. I loved that all of them were supportive of Sam throughout the entire ordeal. If you think about it, every single one of them were supportive of each other especially when it came to the difficult decision at the end.

On the other hand, I would have to admit that the relationship between Luke-Sierra-Cole is the one I find the most intriguing. I really want to know who the father of the baby is, and the suspense is just killing me! It really doesn’t matter who it is really. I just want to peek into the mind of those three and read each of their thoughts and feeling about that subject matter and how that family unit will work out in the future. Do we really have to wait until 2014 for the next one? Now I’m sounding whinny!

The Verdict:

rating-4

Casting:

Finding a muscular bald man was difficult! I think Jason could fit the character if I was just a tad bulkier. If I remember correctly Tag was like 200 something pounds. For McKenna I wanted someone beautiful, a model type who could possibly look awesome on the cover of a Playboy magazine. So I choose this singer that kind of looks like the woman on the front cover, her name is Cheryl Cole.
